About the role

We have 2 part time positions available

The roles in these position include, but are not limited to, duties such as:

  • Undertaking a wide range of administrative duties to facilitate student learning, school routines and classroom activities, including using multiple computerised school based systems and photocopying.
  • Maintain records and enter data into computer systems.
  • Assisting teachers with science practical lessons including preparation of chemical solutions and maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintaining inventories, ordering and stocktaking.
  • Preparation of materials and resources for food technology lessons.
  • Preparing and maintaining practical teaching environment including washing up, spot cleaning of floors and windows, laundering of tea towels, aprons etc.

Role criteria

  • Ability to perform tasks in one or more of the following areas; office procedures; word processing; databases; operation of computers; classroom/office/equipment, food technology or science lab experience.
  • Demonstrated outstanding communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills which instil positive relationships with students, staff and the entire school community.
  • Demonstrated capacity to be innovative, exercise initiative, organise resources, multitask, prioritise work and adhere to deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake compliance with OH&S procedures.

Expressions of interest are invited from School Administrative Officers and other suitably qualified candidates for a relieving position from Friday 28 January 2022 to Tuesday 20 December 2022. (with the possibility of extension)

This includes holding a current and valid Working With Children Check and hold a COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
